Thermally-efficient R1.0 Duct
We only use duct manufactured with at least 50mm thick Polyester insulation in our installations. From an engineering point of view, the thicker the insulation material, the higher it’s ‘R-value’ and the more efficient your system.
As such, all of our ducting carries a full R1.0 insulation rating. In summer, for example, this duct will not allow nearly as much heat gain from the hot ceiling cavity as ducting with 25mm thick insulation.
In simple terms, this means that your system will not have to work as hard to do the same job. The speed of cooling (or heating) will be enhanced, and you save money in power bills!
Non-allergenic Polyester Insulation
All duct installed by REFRESH contains safe, non-allergenic Polyester insulation. No fibreglass insulation products are used in any part of the system.
Further, all flexible duct is sealed with an external ‘sleeve’ made of tough, long-lasting Aluminium. As well as providing extra insulating properties, this sleeve is much tougher than the cheaper duct manufactured with a plastic sleeve. It won’t tear or breakdown over-time, and will remain efficient for many years to come.
Put simply, with quality ducting fitted to your ceiling cavity, you will not have to go through the expensive exercise of replacing this duct. In addition, all of our duct products enjoy an outstanding ten (5) year manufacturer’s warranty.
